Some people say that wealth measured in dollars doesn’t have any real value.  They think you should spend your time creating value that has nothing to do with money.  Chances are those people are poor and kind of bitter about being poor.  If you want to create wealth that lasts, you must understand what real wealth is and what it isn’t.  Money is only one part of the equation – but it is still part of the equation in today’s modern world.

Creating wealth in every part of your life that will last is about seeing the potential value and beauty in everything.   Your health, your family, your love life, your finances, your job and everything else in your life has value, the sum of which can be considered your total wealth.  If any area in your life feels below your full potential, your total wealth will likewise suffer.  So what does any of this have to do with creating wealth that lasts?

The true measurement of a person’s wealth is the quality and depth of their life experiences.  There are spiritual, physical, and relationship sides to this.  And your personal finances are intertwined through most of it.  Your monetary wealth is a reflection of an important aspect of your life:  your ability to attract abundance in the physical realm.  But to truly create wealth that lasts, all areas of your life should be addressed.  Wealth created in all areas of your life will have value that survives you as your legacy and can continue to benefit others long after you’re gone.
